Our Approach
Designed to maintain internal temperatures
This development provides 53 mixed tenure units in the form of studio, one and two bedroom flats and two, three and four bedroom maisonettes which are built to full Passivhaus certification.
This project takes advantage of thermal mass to stabilise internal building temperatures to avoid overheating in the summer months and keeping the building warm in the winter.
Triple glazed windows with high light transmission are used alongside Passivhaus fabric details to drive down the heating demands and provide superbly stable internal environments.
Energy efficient and low emission
Photovoltaic panels are integrated into the design taking advantage of its elevated position and southern aspect.
The project has achieved a Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 rating which includes the requirement to achieve a 44% improvement on the Building Regulations target emissions rates.
Our efforts to ensure maximum energy efficiency have met the requirement of the client to generate 20% of the energy from renewable sources.
At the time of completion, it was the largest certified Passivhaus multi-dwelling development in the UK.
