Armed Forces Covenant: CPW Receives Bronze Award

As part of our ongoing commitment to support the Armed Forces community, CPW is pleased to share we have received the Bronze Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. The award follows a pledge to support the Armed Forces community, as part of the Armed Forces Covenant.

About the scheme

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.

CPW’s commitment

Steve Umbers, CPW Director, said: “After signing the Armed Forces Covenant at the end of 2024, we quickly set our sights on the Bronze Award which we’re now proud to have achieved. Having worked on many military sites and worked closely with many in the armed forces, once we learned of the Armed Forces Covenant, we felt strongly that this is a cause we should get behind.

“We are keen to support reservists and armed forces veterans and recognise the wealth of transferable skills that they could bring to our company and our industry. CPW will continue its efforts to further enhance its support for the armed forces community.”
