Talented Trio Promoted to Director Roles

We are pleased to announce the promotion of three talented team members to director roles, marking our significant growth into a wider variety of disciplines.

The talented trio includes Hazel Andrews, part of the sustainability team, Jim Buckley, from the public health team, and Jon Willmott, who heads up the acoustics team. The move solidifies our expansion into a range of services, enhancing our core mechanical and electrical engineering offering.

Since joining us in 2012, Hazel has helped to establish a dedicated sustainability team, which supports clients in creating the most sustainable design possible, guiding them through accreditations and reporting systems to create successful energy strategies that aim for a fabric-first approach.

Hazel said: “I’ve been at CPW for 11 years and seeing the sustainability team go from strength to strength has made me proud of the business and the industry. I joined when the department had just formed and it has been a pleasure to grow our team from four to 12 people as well as greatly expand our expertise and offering.

“I’m also proud of the wider company’s growth as well – sustainability has always been integral but our ‘sustainability at our core’ re-brand really recognised the role that everyone plays and not just one team. I’m therefore thrilled to be promoted to director and I look forward to developing not only the sustainability team but the net zero carbon agenda for all our clients.”

Jim joined the us more than seven years ago, growing the public health team and its services. He said: “We have some really exciting plans in the pipeline for the team – including our own research and development commitment to really focus on innovative and sustainable engineering within the sector. I’m therefore so pleased to become a director – it is further proof that CPW truly invests in its people and what they have to offer.”

“It was CPW’s work culture and values that drew me in, and my expectations have honestly been exceeded” added Jon – who established the acoustics team following his arrival two years ago. “The team has grown in size since its formation, and we have been incredibly well supported in meeting the growing demand across multiple sectors for acoustic input. This promotion is a fantastic way to round off the year and I’m proud to be in great company with Hazel and Jim.”

Director Andy Hill said: “We are so pleased for Hazel, Jim, and Jon as their promotions to director not only celebrate their fantastic contributions to the business and a milestone in their careers – but it also marks a really exciting moment of growth for CPW.

“We now have nine specialist teams – including sustainability, public health, acoustics, innovations, vertical transport, and more – highlighting our strengths as a multi-disciplinary sustainable engineering consultancy. Hazel, Jim, and Jon have been a key part of this success – so I wish them the best of luck in these new roles and look forward to seeing what they do next.”
