GSK Zero Carbon Building
Client: Glaxo Smith Kline
Our Approach
We were delighted to be appointed to construct Glaxo Smith Kline’s first ever pioneering zero carbon building - a project which went through £600,000 of Value Engineering to make sure the client was getting 100% added value.
When constructing the project, we used site borehole water and provided extensive natural ventilation in the engineering store.
Energy efficient LED lighting provides both a natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing solution, and a portion of the site’s electricity used is sourced from photovoltaic panels on the roof.
This project takes sustainable design to the next level, boasting a range of innovative solutions including PassivHaus standard U-Values and Air Permeability.
CPW were delighted that this work meant the site received an EPC A rating.
