CPW is now an official Terra Carta Supporter
CPW is delighted to be an official supporter of the Terra Carta, part of the former Prince of Wales’ Sustainable Markets Initiative.
Neil Foster, Director, said: “With sustainability at our core, becoming a Terra Carta Supporter only reinforces our commitment to building a better world. The nature, people, planet ethos of the Terra Carta aligns well with the five pillars of our engineering philosophy.
“By working towards these principles collectively, we hope to see a shift in global business models that moves away from harmful and polluting practices to practices that focus on developing a happier, healthier planet for future generations. The building services sector in particular has a big role to play.
“We are proud to be part of the collective striving for change.”
What is the Terra Carta?
The Terra Carta is a mandate launched by the former Prince of Wales that provides a roadmap for a sustainable future. It is a recovery plan for nature, people and the planet.
The mandate offers ten articles as guiding principles for businesses to work towards to improve their sustainability efforts.
What is the Terra Carta Supporters Programme?
It is a group of public and private organisations that support the Terra Carta principles and pledge to embed the nature, people, planet ethos in their business practices. By working towards shared goals, the aim is to make sustainable development the default, direct investment into green causes and work together to develop common metrics and shared solutions to barriers.
What will CPW do?
Sustainability is already at the core of what we do as a business, but we know there is always more to be done.
The principles of the Terra Carta will offer us a new way to focus our efforts. As a Planet Market certified business, we are continuously looking for ways to reduce our carbon emissions as a business and contribute to tackling the climate crisis.
We will continue to update on our progress and share what we do to support nature, people and planet.
