‘His Majesty at 75’: Sustainable by Design

We are celebrating the release of 'King Charles III: The Leadership and Vision of a Modern Monarch' with an insightful discussion with one of our Directors, Carl Standley, on nurturing future eco-conscious leaders in engineering.

Carl discusses how sustainability is attracting the next generation to engineering, how we embed sustainability in our business and the importance of retrofitting to reach our net zero goals in the UK.

We are honoured to be featured in this incredible publication; aligning with The King's dedication to tackling climate change, this recognition stands as a testament to our commitment to sustainability. The feature also highlights our apprenticeship scheme, which has been fundamental to our business for nearly 25 years, allowing us to embed these values and our net zero carbon vision into the training of the next generation of engineers.

Directors, Carl Standley and Dave Gambell, proudly attended the book launch in London on November 14th which marked King Charles’ 75th birthday. The launch was a great opportunity to celebrate the King’s achievements and bring together like-minded organisations.

Director Neil Foster was also recently featured in Building Magazine, reflecting on the King’s legacy of protecting the planet and the impact this has had on the built environment.

Neil said: “I have paid attention to the former Prince of Wales’ career and am proud that we have a monarch who is not afraid to lead the way by investing considerable time in something he believes in. We share an interest in sustainability and, while the work of the built environment has taken serious strides forward in recent years, Charles’ influence may still be a driving force.”
