Our Approach
This new, purpose-built facility will accommodate the growing needs of BP Chargemaster, one of the UK’s largest names in Electric Vehicle Charging. The additional space supports the company’s next phase of expansion and growth in an area synonymous with environmentally concious initiatives.
The two-storey office building is joined to a production and R&D facility by a link building containing meeting rooms and display areas together with associated car parking inclusive of electric charger points, servicing, hard and soft landscape areas.
We incorporated a “fabric first” approach, in which windows and roof lights were specified with a very low u-values and air tightness optimised.
Brise soleil was specified to provide solar shading to the office space at the front of the building helping to mitigate potential overheating and glare inside the offices.
A photovoltaic array to achieve a 25% improvement in carbon emissions was included in line with Milton Keynes planning policy.
