CPW Engineers Scoop Two Awards at CIBSE West Midlands Annual Dinner 2024

We are thrilled that two of our engineers have been recognised at the CIBSE West Midlands Awards 2024. These awards showcase, recognise and reward the abundance of MEP Building Services talent and the hard-working professionals that we have in the West Midlands region.

The award winning engineers were:

  • Mark Gordon, Associate Director, received the Engineer of the Year award. Mark’s impressive 23-year career at CPW began as a trainee. Throughout this time, Mark has demonstrated remarkable dedication to his clients and team, constantly expanding knowledge base, a reflection of his innate curiosity, passion for engineering and fierce loyalty.

  • Lewis Devlin, Trainee Design Engineer, received the Education award. Lewis joined CPW in February 2023 on work experience and impressed the team so much, he was offered a full-time apprenticeship. We felt Lewis deserved to be recognised for his excellent performance on key Healthcare projects and his positive influence in the workplace, always jumping to help colleagues in need.

We were also pleased to have an engineer and two of our projects reach the finals in their respective categories:

  • Ryan Harper, Design Engineer, was shortlisted in the Education category. Ryan joined CPW as a Trainee Design Engineer in 2022 and he consistently demonstrates exceptional work and academic achievement, as well as being dedicated in his outreach efforts to develop the next generation of engineers.

  • The Molecular Sciences Building at the University of Birmingham was shortlisted in the Project/Initiative of the Year category.

  • The James Cond Building at University College Birmingham was shortlisted in the Project/Initiative of the Year category.

Well done to all those who were shortlisted!
