Senior Mechanical Engineer and Passivhaus certified designer, Agata Kępińska, has been featured in RIBA Journal. Her article explores the importance of engaging consistently with all design and delivery partners to achieve a Passivhaus standard project, from tradespeople to architects. She also discusses why achieving certification, and not just working towards Passivhaus principles, ensures that sustainable design can deliver what it promises.

Experts in Passivhaus

We’re thrilled to see Agata recognised in such a prestigious journal, showcasing our Passivhaus experience. We are leaders in Passivhaus with a number of accredited consultants and industry experts in low energy design who have been responsible for championing and delivering certified buildings at-scale in the UK and highlighting their exemplar performance.

CPW’s MEP and Passivhaus designers worked on the University of Leicester’s George Davies Centre which is currently the UK’s largest Passivhaus building and achieved an EPC A-rating. The design allows the university to cut their energy bills by 80% compared to a standard building of this size.

Designing more energy-efficient buildings is a key first step to tackling building-related carbon emissions. In the race to net zero, Passivhaus design must be embraced.
